THANKSGIVINGTomorrow is Thanksgiving. I wonder if some Americans who would not ordinarily be predisposed to do so will set aside some time to give thanks for all that we have in this country. The BEST country on Earth. While we're at it, let's remember to give thanks for the men and women in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere who are on the front line of the war on terror. EVEN ODDS FOR A NUCLEAR ATTACK This didn't get much coverage yesterday, but it certainly should have. Maybe people just don't want to be reminded .. or they're tired of coping with the threat. Or maybe our complacent society doesn't take it seriously anymore. Harvard security expert Graham Allison has written a new book titled "Nuclear Terrorism." Allison says that the chance of terrorists detonating a 10 kiloton nuclear devise in the United States in the next 10 years is 50/50. Now ... if you want a sobering reality just go to this website. www.nuclearterror.org. On this site you will have a chance to enter your zip code and see a blast map showing the effects of a 10K nuclear explosion. The site is very well done ... so head on over for a dose of reality. While you're at it, you can thank the beer swigglin', gun totin', Jesus lovin' Red States for saving you from an appeasement administration that would have made the terrorist's job all that much easier. DAN RATHER PUSHED OUT OF ANCHOR CHAIR After 24 excruciating years, Dan Rather finally announced his retirement from the CBS Evening News yesterday, effective March of 2005. He insists that it has nothing to do with the investigation into his fraudulent Bush-bashing over on 60 Minutes II. Yeah right...if you believe that then I've got some ocean front property in Arkansas to sell you, if Hillary doesn't create a scheme to sell it to you first. In his statement, Rather said "I have always been and remain a 'hard news' investigative reporter at heart." Oh really Dan....perhaps that's why you were tripping all over yourself to run a Bush-bashing story based on flimsy evidence and obviously fake documents. The reasons for Dan Rather's ouster are quite obvious. They include: ***Declining ratings. CBS News is in third place. As they say, always follow the money. ***Credibility. Dan Rather doesn't have any. Why would the public believe anything he has to say? ***Avoiding embarrassment. The report that will be released about the National Guard incident will not be pretty, and it will probably show that Dan Rather screwed up pretty badly. By pushing him out now, CBS is minimizing that embarrassment. Dan Rather is apparently going to stay on at 60 Minutes where he will continue bashing the Bush administration as a reporter. Once the extent of his deception and bias over the National Guard story becomes fully known, he may permanently be put out to pasture. UK THWARTS 9/11-STYLE ATTACK For 3 years now, the media and the left all over the world have been promoting the myth that somehow the whole war on terror is an overreaction to the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In other words, as the nonsense goes, we shouldn't bother them so they won't bother us. A new story out of Britain shows why we have to keep the heat turned up on Islamic terrorists. The report says that four or five (that's right...not one, but 4 or 5) 9/11-style attacks have been thwarted on a number of targets including Heathrow Airport and Canary Wharf. Canary Wharf is like the UK version of Wall Street. The plans, which were stopped when authorities stepped in, called for Al-Qaeda to fly airplanes into buildings, killing thousands of people with every attack. Remember: these were attacks that WERE going to happen. Had they not been stopped, scores of people would be dead at the hands of these Islamic killers. Right now, as you are sitting reading this, terrorists are plotting to kill Americans. Just keep that in mind the next time somebody calls the war on terror into question. UN SAYS KABUL TOO DANGEROUS The United Nations, known for the stable countries it maintains, has decided that even though three UN hostages have been released, Afghanistan is still too dangerous for foreigners. The country is dangerous, but that's not the motivation here. Kabul has been designated as too dangerous because it was the United States, and not the UN or France, that liberated it from the Taliban. Had any country other than the United States routed the Taliban, Kofi Annan would be touting Kabul as a tourist destination. The message is simple: the UN will risk life and limb for dangerous third-world countries, but not Afghanistan. After all, the overwhelming success the United States has had in bringing liberty and democracy to that country cannot possibly be recognized by the UN. Considering the UN cut and run from Iraq at the first sign of trouble, we shouldn't expect anything less. We ought to make them pay their parking tickets and then kick them out of New York City. How about relocating the UN to Paris? BUSH MEDIA SMEAR CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY With Bush's historic victory in the books, the media isn't going quietly on this one. They wanted Kerry to win, and he didn't. Now it's payback time, and the liberal media intends to get their pound of flesh. The media is now fretting that George Bush is consolidating power and isn't encouraging healthy debate. So .. what is this evil being perpetrated by Bush? He's making his own cabinet appointments, and he's actually appointing people who agree with his domestic and foreign policy agenda!! Oh no!! This is something every president has done. Bill Clinton did it, but was he ever accused of consolidating power and discouraging healthy debate when he made his appointments? Of course not...in fact, his leftist appointments were applauded and celebrated. Remember: there are two sets of rules in the press: one for Democrats and one for Republicans. Wait for Bush to send up his first Supreme Court nomination. The media is going to come unglued over that one. I guess Bush is supposed to listen to Democrats and do what they want first.

CONDOLEEZZA RICE TO REPLACE POWELLYesterday President Bush accepted the resignation of Secretary of State Colin Powell. Rumors abound in the media and on the left that Powell was somehow run out of office by the "hawks," that would be Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney. All of this talk completely ignores two facts. One, Powell serves at the pleasure of the president, and no one else. Two, it had been widely know for quite some time that Powell's original intention was to serve but one term as Secretary of State. The conspiracies don't wash. So now the president is going to nominate his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, to be the next Secretary of State. The announcement is expected today, and it is a historic one. She would be the first black woman to ever serve in that position. Not too shabby for that evil, racist Republican party. Should be an interesting confirmation fight, if there is one. It's interesting how Democrats get a lot of the credit for somehow elevating minorities. Who nominated the first woman to the Supreme Court? Ronald Reagan, a republican. Who appointed the first black secretary of state? George Bush. Who appointed the first Hispanic attorney general? George Bush. Who is about to appoint the first black woman to be secretary of state? George Bush. Of course, since the modern politically correct definition of blackness is more political than it is racial, Condi Rice will immediately, for all intents and purposes, stop being black. She will continue being a female however. Watch this: The left's objection to Condi Rice as Secretary of State will be that she agrees with Bush's foreign policy positions. That she's a "yes" person. That's an interesting reason to oppose an appointment, don't you think? Especially when its the duty of that that position to carry out the President's policies? Bill Clinton used to say he wanted a cabinet that "looked like America." Now we see who's really getting it done. UN CORRUPTION ESTIMATE DOUBLES The estimates of the corruption in the UN oil-for-food probe just got a whole lot bigger. This is the program, instituted and run by the U.N., where Saddam Hussein was supposed to be able to sell barrels of oil and use the proceeds for food and medicine. In reality, he used it to build palaces, line his own pockets, buy votes on the Security Council and pay off the U.N. Everybody benefited. Everybody except the Iraqi people, of course. Congressional investigators have discovered that Saddam Hussein made more than $21 billion in illegal revenue off the oil-for-food scam. Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman said "That humanitarian program was corrupted and exploited ... for the most horrible and aggressive purpose." Essentially what Hussein was doing was giving oil to foreign officials, journalists and terrorists, who then sold the oil to oil companies for a commission. Some of the other beneficiaries of the fraud were groups like the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Would somebody please remind me what useful purpose the United Nations serves? Time to move their headquarters to some place more hospitable, like North Korea. Think of all the parking spaces that would be freed up in New York. THE USELESS JACQUES CHIRAC IS BACK French President Jacques Chirac is at it again. Despite the fact that the American people overwhelmingly voted to re-elect President Bush, the French are refusing to accept reality. Such is his hatred for the United States, the head pretentious snob of the REAL most disrespected nation on Earth is reminding everybody that anybody who deals with President Bush gets nowhere with them. Typical French. This all started because Tony Blair, who, unlike Chirac, actually opposes Islamic terrorism and wasn't getting kickbacks from Saddam. Blair basically told other European leaders that they would have to deal with George Bush, and that he could be an honest broker between them and the United States. Chirac's response? No way. You support George Bush, you can write us off. You want to hear the truth about Chirac? He's playing survivalist. You see, the day this man is out of the Presidency in France is the day he is no longer protected from investigations into his dozens of scandals which could seriously put him in the slammer for the rest of his life. So he plays off the French hatred of the US instead of doing what needs to be done. But this is nothing new for France. Chirac (along with a lot of Europe) is also upset that we're the only superpower left, and France and the EU are becoming increasingly irrelevant when it comes the security of the world. We'll have to remember their cooperation the next time they need somebody to save their bacon. And that day will come. HIP HOP --- THE CULTURE OF VIOLENCE Did you see the Vibe Awards on television? I skipped them too. However clips from it did invade my nightly Fox News viewing. Vibe magazine focuses on our country's "urban culture." Well, you didn't see the entire show when it was broadcast. That's because it was actually taped, and some of it had to be cut from the broadcast. You see, a fight broke out. The ruckus started as Vibe was about to give some sort of lifetime achievement award to Dr. Dre. The award was for Dr. Dre's lifetime of contributions to hip-hop. Big whoop. During the fight chairs were thrown and at least one person in the audience was reportedly stabbed. This is the face of the much-ballyhooed "Hip Hop Culture." It's a culture of in-your-face "whatchulookinat?" violence, predatory sexuality and disrespect for women. And now all my readers will hate me because all the ones I know of seem to enjoy hip-hop.

IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE US. IT JUST HAS TO BE "THEM."Are you listening to all of the excuses that the Democrats and their leftist pals are coming up with to explain the lost election? It's all of those evangelical Christians out there. It was all about moral values ... the old, outdated moral values of the right. American voters just weren't smart, sophisticated and worldly enough to know what was really good for them. One thing that can't be blamed? Democratic party politics. If you don't believe that America is great because of government, as Democrats do, then you must be living in some rural farming community in a backward red state where international culture just can't break through. If you believe that America's greatness comes from the incredible dynamic of free people interacting with one another in an economic and social structure unobstructed by government interference, then you're a hopeless rube. But don't count the left out by any means. Every day in this country untold numbers of people decide that it's better to just sit back and let the government take care of things than it is to actually take responsibility for your own life. Once a person crosses that line they become a loyal Democratic voters. IRAN BEHAVES .... FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENS, ISN'T IT? We're learning today that Iran has now agreed to forego the production of weapons-grade nuclear materials. At least that's Iran's story today. Here's what you won't hear in the coverage of this story. Iran would be taking no such position if it had not been for Bush's victory two weeks ago. Iran now faces the reality of four more years with George Bush, an American president who has demonstrated a resolve to fight the terrorist threat, and who follows through with it. Iran certainly would have preferred John Kerry, but things just didn't go their way. Sad, isn't it? The Iranian weird-beards are thinking survival ... and their survival might well hinge on their abandonment of all dreams of nuclear weapons. MILITARY TAKES FALLUJAH The media coverage of the offensive in Fallujah has been quite interesting. A few outlets have reported that the military has taken Fallujah, but most are only reporting the negative aspects. (Not enough this or that, city not fully secured, etc.) But make no mistake, the swift, certain and overwhelming victory of the troops in Iraq is excellent. This was supposed to be impossible. The nay-sayers (including John Kerry, his followers, and his allies) said it would be disasterous, that more troops would be needed, that the war couldn't be won. We were told it was a quagmire, the second coming of Vietnam. Yet none of that has happened. Where are the nay-sayers now? Oh, that's right...most of them lost the elections. Despite the condescension of the left and the media, the United States Military walked into Fallujah with overwhelming force and took the place with relative ease. Sadly, 38 GIs have died...but that pales in comparison to the over 1,200 dead insurgents that the Coalition has been stacking up like freshly chopped fire wood on a fall afternoon. Insurgents, most of them from Syria and other nations, will now pop up in another Iraqi city and give it another shot. Their numbers will be less and their determination weakened ... but there will be other fights and many more dead insurgents. What's the purpose? Prevent the elections. Freedom is poison to Islamic thugs. Any nationwide election in Iraq will be seen as a devastating defeat for the Islamic jihadists. If they can prevent or delay those elections it will be seen as a victory for the terrorists. It's a shame that so many in the west want to help insure that victory by weakening American resolve. ARAFAT CORRUPT? YOU DON'T SAY Now that Yasser Arafat has gone off to see Allah, people are starting to ask questions about where all the money went. Specifically, where the Palestinian Authority's millions and billons that were ripped off by Arafat wound up. Time magazine is reporting that auditors found that Arafat was skimming $2 million a month from the sale of gasoline in the Palestinian territories. Time also reports that Arafat sent his wife $200,000 a month out of the Palestinian Authority's coffers. He also sent money to terrorist organizations responsible for suicide bombings of innocent civilians. But I thought he was a Nobel Prize-winning peacemaker? Not unless embezzling billions of dollars makes you qualify. His people mourn his passing, yet he is the one that that was keeping them broke, desperate and without a nation. There's a country song in there somewhere. This is the bastard that our media gave the Princess Di treatment to last week.

ARAFAT TAKES THE DESERT SAND NAPArafat is dead ... finally. Now we're going to have to deal with the insipid spin on what a grand man Yasser Arafat was from the media for a few days. This will definitely not be a day to remember the Israelis who died, including innocent schoolchildren, who died in attacks engineered by this thug. One of the first people to offer his condolences was none other than UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, who had this to say: "President Arafat was one of those few leaders who could be instantly recognized by people in any walk of life all around the world." Oh really? What a big fucking surprise this guy would try and spin Arafat in a positive manner. Hitler could be recognized around the world too. So what's the big fucking deal? The media is hailing Arafat as a "peacemaker" and a proponent of a Palestinian state. The fact of the matter is that he wanted neither. Let's take a look at his life's "work," shall we? In 2000 at Camp David, in a last ditch attempt at resolving the peace process, Arafat turned down the best deal he would have ever gotten from the Israelis. It included a Palestinian state with most of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem as well as a right of return for the Palestinians. Like any other activist that draws their money and power from a cause, Arafat didn't want to solve the problem. So he turned Ehud Barak down, and the fighting has raged ever since. Under Arafat's leadership, the PLO conducted airplane hijackings and financed suicide bombers that killed civilians. They were also behind the massacre of children in 1974, the deaths of Israeli athletes at the Olympics in 1972 and the killings of Christians in Lebanon. Even with all this, Arafat was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Not bad for an image makeover. The caption under Arafat's picture on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's website says "The icon of Palestinian national aspirations, who had won the Nobel Prize, has died in Paris." Icon? Let's get rid of the spin. Arafat was an icon for violence, for murder and for terrorism. Rather than working toward the goal of an independent Palestinian state, Arafat spent the last two decades doing everything he possibly could to prevent one. Arafat knew that as soon as a Palestinian state became a reality he would become irrelevant. In addition to being a terrorist murderer, Arafat was a thief. He stole millions, perhaps billions of dollars that were donated to Palestinian causes. While Palestinians were suffering Arafat's wife was flitting around Paris spending her $100,000 a month allowance, money stolen from Palestinians. Arafat's death came decades too late. It's about time. VETERAN'S DAY....LATE Well I meant to get this up yesterday. Yesterday was the day we honor all of the wonderful men and women who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States. There is no possible way that we can thank them for what they have meant to us, to our children, to generations to come and to this country. Next time you're driving home from work and you feel the temptation to blow your horn at that old man in front of you who just isn't quite quick enough at making that turn, stop for a second. That old man may have scaled the cliffs of Normandy, or he may have waded ashore on Iwo Jima. We don't owe our freedoms to the ACLU or to the politicians who infest the halls of congress. We owe our freedoms to the men and woman who have been ready and willing to stand before a tyrant who threatens us and say "Not this time. Not while I'm here." Do you know a veteran? Young or old ... take the time to call them today and say thanks. If you have a chance to go to a celebration .. a parade .. in your community ... jump at it. Show them you care, and that you remember. DEMOCRATS GRASPING AT STRAWS Considering President Bush's convincing victory in the electoral college and his overwhelming majority win of the popular vote, that should have finally silenced the left's sour grapes over the 2000 election. You know, all that business about Bush stealing the election, and being "selected, not elected" and other such nonsense. With Kerry's conceding on November 3 and very few lawsuits filed, that should have erased all doubt, right? Wrong. Believe it or not, the Bigfoot/UFO/Michael Moore wing of the Democratic Party has been buzzing on the Internet about how President Bush "stole" the election of 2004. With George Bush's victory so convincing, what possible leg could they have to stand on? They're complaining that George Bush won some heavily Democratic counties in Florida. Do they have any proof of fraud? Nope. They're saying that there's no way a county with Democratic registrations as high as 70% could have gone to Bush. The only problem with that theory is that it has happened before. Ronald Reagan won that same support, as did Bush's father in 1988. So there's really no surprise there. A few Congressional Democrats have written the General Accounting Office asking for an investigation. George Bush won the election fair and square, but just as in 2000, the left can't stand the result, so they'll question the process. After all, no one in their right mind would vote for George W. Bush, would they?

NOW THAT MADONNA HAS SPOKEN UP....What a relief. Finally our military commanders Iraq and President Bush's advisors have some expert guidance on what to do in Iraq. Madonna has finally broken her gut-wrenching silence and has informed the world as to the correct course of action. Madonna has now called for the United States to withdraw its troops from Iraq. And, true to Hollywood custom, Madonna decided to share her foreign policy expertise with the world from a foreign platform .. an interview with British radio. Madonna, who has successfully hidden her wide ranging knowledge on foreign affairs for quite some time now, says that she "(doesn't) want American troops to be in Iraq, period. My feelings are, 'can we just all get out?'" No word from the White House yet. I'm sure the president's advisors will be meeting this morning to discuss the wide-raging implications of Madonna's pronouncements. Meanwhile, a grateful world breaths a sigh of relief. Finally, someone with some sense has stepped forward to save the day. RELENTLESS The overdue assault on Fallujah continues. The insurgent's outer line of defense has collapsed and Iraqi and American soldiers are going house-to-house arranging meetings between Islamic goons and their personal collections of virgins. You may remember that several months ago American intelligence officials intercepted a message believed to be from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. If my memory is serving me well this morning I believe that al-Zarqawi said something to the effect that these American troops were "relentless." He only thought he saw relentless a few months ago. Now his goons are seeing the real thing. I'm not a nice person ... so I can tell you that I'm looking forward to seeing the stacks of body bags containing the remains of the Islamic insurgent terrorists who have been targeting our troops and Iraqis seeking freedom for months. It makes my heart sing. DEAD OR ALIVE? There seems to be a bit of confusion as to whether or not Yasser Arafat has assumed room temperature and gone to visit his 72 virgins yet. Reportedly, Palestinians are making burial preparations to bury the lifelong Islamic terrorist thug. There are reports that he is still alive in a French hospital, but most reports say he is dead. I know you're not supposed to say things about dead people unless it's good. Well, he's dead. Good. And so it is that now the media swoon will begin. He will be portrayed as the symbol of Palestinian struggle, and a proponent of Palestinian statehood. The truth is he was in favor of winning neither. Just like the NAACP has no interest in eliminating racism, Yasser Arafat had no interest in a Palestinian state. It would mean he was out of a job, and being a pimp for the downtrodden paid pretty well. In fact, it paid so well, they're not sure where all the money he stole from the Palestinian people went. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered Arafat everything including the moon at Camp David in 2000, and he turned it down. At that point, it was plain for anyone to see that Arafat did not want peace. His continued support for terrorism and his direct payments to suicide bombers further cemented his status as a Palestinian warlord. Perhaps now that he is pushing up daisies, the Palestinians will get their state. Maybe. I WAS LAID OFF MONDAY So yeah, I'm unemployed again. A few points. First, this does not change my belief that the economy is booming. Second, no I'm not mad about losing "my" job. It wasn't my job to lose, it was their job to give me and, thus, take away. Yeah, sure, I'm disappointed..but boohoo, life is tough.

EXCUSE ME FOR BEING A HEARTLESS SOB, BUT...I somehow fail to get all worked up about the medical condition of Yasser Arafat. The man is a goddamned murderer. He directed terrorist attacks on schoolchildren. Over the last few decades he has made damned sure that there would be no agreement for lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians. He was and is a thug and a thief. It appears that soon he will face the much-deserved music, and it will be a pleasant melody for Isreal. YOU WILL HAVE TO PLAY ON OUR TERMS, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND I've noticed that after the great blow-out of 2004, the Democrats have adopted a tactic of telling hinting the President needs to engage in "conciliation." This means that Bush needs to reach across the aisle and work with Democrats more. Now wait a minute...the voters in this country have soundly rejected the leftist agenda, but the Dems somehow have reached the conclusion that George Bush must move toward the left in a effort to reconcile? Sorry, try thinking the other way around. You better starting moving to the right. After four years of bitter partisanship from the Democrats (led by unemployed Tom Daschle), they are telling George Bush that he must avoid being partisan. To quote his daddy, "Nope, not gonna do it!" HE WON THE POPULAR VOTE...NADER WASN'T AN INFLUENCE...WHAT'S OUR EXCUSE FOR LOSING NOW? The left is fighting back with several different excuses. The main one I have seen is the "Evangelical Christian" charge. Democrats want this country to believe that if it were not for the Evangelicals who went to the polls, Kerry would be the President-elect right now. The left would have us believe that these Evangelicals are a bunch of wild-eyed nut-cases and, therefore, neither them nor the president they elected are worthy of any respect. Nut-cases? Hardly. Sure, every religion has it's share of whackos, but these people the left want you to fear are nothing more than traditional American families who have adopted and who live by a set of values that should be admired, not feared. Sure, I get upset and vocal when any religion tries to write its religious beliefs into law to be used to hammer people who believe differently, but Evangelicals count no greater a percentage of these types than do other religions. A COWARD AND A SCUMBAG The President graciously extended an olive branch yesterday to our European "allies," saying "Whatever our past disagreements, we share a common enemy. I will continue to reach out to our partners in the EU." But cheif French weenie Jacques Chirac aka "Le Frog" is having none of it. He is leaving Brussels today instead of meeting with the new Iraqi prime minister. You see, Jacques preferred Saddam Hussein. The money was good while Uncle Saddam was in power, and he paid in cash. The mass graves, rape rooms and chemical attacks on Iraqis were just a nuisance. Chirac did find time to meet with the terrorist vegetable Yasser Arafat in the hospital. Tony Blair is trying to get the rest of the European Union to face the facts: "The election has happened. America has spoken. The rest of the world should listen. It is important that America listens to the rest of the world too. The fact is that President Bush is there for four years. Some people are in a sort of state of denial." It's the same old thing we always get from the French: envy disguised as hatred. Thanks for nothing, "allies." POOR FRUSTRATED KERRY Newsweek Magazine is reporting that last April, when poll numbers weren't favorable to John Kerry, Kerry told a campaign aide "I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot." You have to wonder what he had to say on the morning of November 3rd! Leftist elitism takes a whipping! HEY MICHEAL MOORE, JANEANE GARAFOLO, BARBARA STREISAND, FEMINEM, SPRINGSTEIN, TIM ROBBINS, ETC, ETC.. Where you guys been?? Been awfully quiet on the Hollyweird front since Tuesday...

![]() GOOD NEWS EVERYWHERE!! George Bush sets a new record for votes received by a President. Good but Kerry also set voting records. The truth is this election was simply huge. Still, Bush is the first President since Daddy Bush to get a majority of the popular vote (that means above 50% for you do-do brains out there). Even Bill Clinton didn't do that. As if the president's victory wasn't enough, Democrats were soundly defeated all over the country. Right at the top was Senate Minority Leader and class warlord Tom Daschle getting knocked off by John Thune. The Republican edge in the Senate now stands at 55. The Republican majority in the House also remained. I take special pleasure in the defeat of Tom Daschle. This is the man who engineered a Senate filibuster of a judicial nominee that had the majority vote needed for confirmation. This has never happened before. Hopefully Bush will place those names in the hopper again and see if the Democrats are still in a filibustering mood. The vote was close, to be sure, but once again the ideals of the modern Democratic party have been soundly defeated at the polls. The Democratic party has become the party of Michael Moore, George Soros and a bevy of disgruntled movie and rock stars. Now they see their politics soundly rejected. Most of them are brooding and sulking in their asylumn of dejection. The one bright spot for the Democrats is Barak Obama, and I think that kid's got a bright future. It looks like Ralph Nader wasn't a factor in this election with only 1% of the vote (sorry ktik). Actually, this is bad news for the Democrats. They aren't going to have the meaningless popular vote canard to throw around, and they can't blame Nader for Kerry's loss. About this constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. I voted no on that one. I can't see voting to deny someone else the opportunity to do something that deprives absolutely nobody of their right to life, liberty or property through either force or fraud. I don't care who lives with whom and what they want to call themselves. In my opinion, Hollywood has done more to damage the institution of marriage in this country than a gay couple ever could. Perky Katie Couric isn't so perky today. She's dressed in black. Go figure.

BIN LADEN TAPE WARNS AGAINST VOTING FOR BUSH: STATES THAT VOTE KERRY WILL "DECLARE PEACE WITH US"Now before you scoff and surf on somewhere else thinking I'm making this up, just wait and read. The respected Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates Arabic media and Internet sites, said initial translations of a key portion of bin Laden's disgusting video rant to the American people Friday night missed an ostentatious bid by the Saudi-born terror master to divide American voters and tilt the election towards Democratic challenger John Kerry. MEMRI said radical Islamist commentators monitored over the Internet this past weekend also interpreted the key passage of bin Laden's diatribe to mean that any U.S. state that votes to elect Bush on Tuesday will be considered an "enemy" and any state that votes for Kerry has "chosen to make peace with us." The statement in question is when bin Laden said on the tape: "Your security is up to you, and any state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security." That sentence followed a lengthy passage in the video in which bin Laden launches personal attacks on the president. Yigal Carmon, president of MEMRI, said bin Laden used the Arabic term "ay-wilaya" to refer to a "state" in that sentence. That term "specifically refers to an American state, like Tennessee," Carmon said, adding that if bin Laden were referring to a "country" he would have used the Arabic word "dawla." MEMRI also translated an analysis of bin Laden's statement from the Islamist Web site al-Qal'a, well known for posting al-Qaeda messages, which agreed that bin Laden's use of the word "ay-wilaya" was meant as a "warning to every U.S state separately." "It means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president, it means that it chose to fight us and we will consider it an enemy to us, and any state that will vote against Bush, it means that it chose to make peace with us and we will not characterize it as an enemy," the Web site said, according to MEMRI's translation. So there you have it. Any state that votes for Bush, Al Quaeda's at war with. Any state that votes Kerry, peace is declared. What does that tell you? I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN -- I JUST THOUGHT THAT ONLY DEMOCRATS WOULD DO IT I've feared for years that politicians would step forward prior to the election and use the Campaign Finance Reform Act to try to shut down political talk radio. Well, I was both right and wrong. Politicians have indeed stepped forward to use this hideous law to try to shut down talk radio, but they were Republicans, not Democrats as I had predicted. Believe it or not, the Republican Party has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission against KFI radio in Los Angeles. The National Republican Campaign Committee is complaining that when John and Ken endorsed a Democratic congressional candidate named Cynthia Matthews they were in fact giving Matthews an unlawful campaign contribution valued at more than $25,000. The Democrats haven't been left out in this scenario. They used the same excuse to complain about Sinclair Broadcasting planning to air that "Stolen Honor" documentary last week. OK .. you expect that of Democrats. I'm just sad that the Republican Party is playing the same game. If the Libertarian Party was only up to fighting terrorism ..... THE ECONOMY CONTINUES TO BOOM Lost in all of the pro-Kerry, Bush-bashing media coverage of the campaign is this little fact: the economy is booming. Things are better right now then they have been in years. Home ownership is at record levels and jobs are being created at a rapid pace. But since good economic news won't elect Kerry, you're not going to hear much about it anywhere else. Right now, unemployment is at a three- year low of 5.4%. That's lower than the average of the last three decades, and low than it was when Bill Clinton was reelected in 1996. Of course, when there's a Democrat in the White House, 5.4% would be considered extremely low unemployment and the media would call it as such. Not so when you apply the media double standard. After all, if it isn't painfully obvious to you which candidate the media is trying to ruin in this campaign then you're either braindead or hopelessly partisan. The economy is also rapidly expanding. The economy is growing at an average annual rate of 3.5 percent, which is faster than the overall average since 1970. Consumer spending is up too. The Bush tax cuts have unleashed an economic boom from the ashes of the 2000 Clinton recession. It's too bad the media is letting the Democrats get away with the lie that the economy is in bad shape, because it's not. And here's a hint for you Democrats out there. Just because YOU don't have a job doesn't mean that our economy sucks. Your employment status is quite possibly more a measure of the cumulative effects of your own decision making than it is of the state of our economy. Someday you may learn to take responsibility for yourself ... but then you wouldn't be a Democrat, would you?
