How has Christmas not come & gone yet? I was tired of this crap weeks ago and it still has yet to come? You people and your holly jolly crap disgust me!

Despite the cancer that is Christmas permeating every crevice of society, December has been a good month thus far. I've accompanied my father to five performances in the last two weeks, capturing the spectacle of mind-reading and hypnosis on video. A good workload for both of us.

One show was at the Indianapolis zoo, at their dolphin tank. Before the show we were totally alone with the dolphins, who showed themselves to be very friendly. Pics of that will be forthcoming on my MySpace or elsewhere.

For those of you who have read the book I Am Legend, don't waste your time on the movie. I saw it tonight with high hopes and left disgruntled. I knew it would likely be dumbed down, but I haven't seen this level of evisceration since a certain Harlan Ellison Star Trek script. This film is a wasted opportunity - actually make that a series of wasted opportunities. The new version completely sullies the meaning of the title. Also gone is the clever, dark irony which gives way to Hollywood cookie-cutter heroic bullshit.

All of that being said, if you haven't read the book (or the graphic novel) then you will probably still enjoy it. Its a good waste of a few hours if you don't have your hopes up. Will Smith's performance is very good. The ending is shit, but 2/3rds of a good movie is still pretty good by today's standards.

If you want an uplifting movie ending that will both inspire and invigorate, go see The Mist. Your life will be enriched!
