 AND A HAPPY 85th BIRTHDAY TO JAMES "SCOTTY" DOOHAN! Many people do not know, but Doohan is a bonafide war hero. During service with the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII (YES THEY DID FIGHT) Doohan took 7 bullets during the D-Day invasion and kept on truckin'. An eighthed bullet was found lodged in a metal cigarette case he was carrying. Several additional bullets shredded his middle finger on his left hand and the finger was amputated, which is visible in several Star Trek episodes and movies.
