Cult leader escapes from French jail in helicopter
Is it just me, or is this the most rousing news headline in recent times? Its really too bad the guy didn't have a stately mustache, as this would have complete my mental image of him twirling it while laughing maniacally as he flew away, free to hatch some new evil scheme with his large and well-funded cult.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OTTERVOMIT?
First off, I must mention how saddened I was to learn of the passing of Bea Arthur. As odd as it may sound, I can't name a show that has made me laugh harder or more often than Golden Girls. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching Maude on Nick at Night (now TV-land I suppose) back in my earlier years. Bea was one of the all-time comedy greats and will be missed dearly.
I have, as of late, been enjoying the just guerdon of my well-lived life. The world has been kind to me and each day I feel happier, healthier and fulfilled in all ways. It is becoming apparent that the areas of focus in my life were well-chosen. Stress, anxiety and unhappiness are all but memories. Years of operose meditation have grown sweet fruits. It seems that any challenge I turn my attention towards ends in complete success.
Work is going fairly well, and I have many projects lined up. There is some possibility of starting a full-fledged production company with a few folks (as opposed to my current fly-by-night shenanigans) but this is still in the discussion stages. I am also in the editing phase of an independent film called "Children of Abraham." I served as (among other things) director of photography on this film and look forward to the finished product.
Jess and I bought a magnificent house in northern Knoxville, which is where I lived my first few years on Earth. I have come full-circle it seems. The freedoms of home ownership are particularly pleasing. Being the sluggard I am, it is not at all an uncommon occurrence to witness the abhorrent vision of yours truly strolling out onto the deck at 2:30 a.m. dressed solely in undergarments, seeking to ignite the grill and cook a burger.
At long last I have been able to set up a fledgling wood workshop in my basement. This is something I've wanted to do for years and now I finally have the space. I have built about 7 birdhouses and am currently working on a new desk for my computer. Maybe some pics of this will turn up soon - or maybe not, as I've cut my internet time in half these days.
